By Judgement delivered 16 December 2016 Justice Gendall granted the group's application for leave to bring the proceedings as a representative action. That has cleared the way for the class action to now proceed in the courts.
Also, his Honour directed that an explanatory letter/memorandum be provided to both existing members and any further intended group members about the representative action and the funding arrangements.
Such document is to be approved by the Court before being presented to those parties. However, the Court cannot approve the form of that explanatory letter/memorandum until early in the New Year.
If you are a Southern Response policyholder who would like to receive the explanatory letter/memorandum once it has been approved by the Court, please register your interest by contacting GCA Lawyers at (03) 365 1347 or by email email@example.com.Tags Southern Response GCA Lawyers Class Actions Grant Cameron SRCA Justice Gendall Insurance
